Firewall Pro Release Notes

Firewall Pro now removes references to blocked NuGet versions throughout registration metadata and routes page URLs through the proxy. This helps NuGet clients select the latest allowed version instead of attempting to retrieve a blocked version.

Firewall Pro now applies consistent component-name searches across the Recently Protected Components and Direct Request Blocks tables, including npm scopes and Maven coordinates. Search results, pagination totals, and CSV exports now use the same matching behavior.

Sonatype Repository Firewall Pro now filters blocked and unknown NuGet package versions from registration metadata, so package managers only see versions that are available to install. This helps prevent installation errors and reduces confusion when selecting package versions.

Improved API token authentication reliability with a new reconciliation capability that rebuilds the token authentication cache from the authoritative database if it is ever lost or corrupted, ensuring uninterrupted access without manual intervention.

Updated the application to use direct server-side backend calls instead of API route proxies, reducing network overhead and simplifying request handling.

NEXUS-53574 – Telemetry events for blocked direct artifact requests are now processed correctly, allowing blocked requests to appear in the Direct Request Blocks dashboard.

NEXUS-53480 – Blocked component download attempts for npm, PyPI, Maven, and NuGet now appear in the Firewall Pro Direct Requests Blocked dashboard across all supported formats.

NEXUS-53477 – The Last Used field for Firewall Pro tokens now reflects the actual most recent usage date in the UI.

NEXUS-53096 – Signing in to Firewall Pro with GitHub, Microsoft, and other social identity providers now completes successfully, with authentication requests routed through the Auth0 custom domain so that OAuth redirect URIs match the registered callback URLs.
