Pushing Images to a Group Repository

With Nexus Repository Pro, you can push images to a group repository. To do this, select a Writable Repository in the configuration menu as shown below:

Note that you will not abe able to use Staging moves for writable repositories that are members of a Docker group repository. See Staging limitations for more information.

The procedure of pushing images is otherwise the same as described for a hosted repository.

When pushing to a group repository, Nexus Repository will check existing layers of all members to avoid pushing those layers so as to save on storage and bandwidth.

If you attempt to push an existing layer, you will get an output that looks similar to the following:
