NEW IN RELEASE 101

Accessing the New Violation Details Page

In the Dashboard Violations Tab every row represents a Policy Violation; clicking on one of them will take you to the Violation Details Page where more info about that particular violation can be found.

In the upper-right corner a button titled Manage Waivers can be found; it is by clicking this button that the Waivers for Violation page can be accesed.

Waivers for Violation page

The Waivers for Violation page displays information about the waivers that are applicable to a particular violation, along with information about the violation itself and the policy.

At the bottom of the page the Applicable Waivers for this particular violation are listed. Note that Expired Waivers will still show up in this table, clearly identified as "Expired".

Adding a Waiver

Clicking on the Add Waiver button located in the Applicable Waivers table will take you to the Add Waiver page.

Add Waiver button permissions

Note that the Add Waiver button is tied to the permissions that the active user may have. It may be disabled in case the user lacks the appropriate permissions.

At the beggining of this page the component information is listed: the component's name at the header and the component's coordinates at the subheader.

Below that is information regarding the violated policy: name, severity, and constraint; the constraint information is comprised of the Constraint Name and the Conditions.

Constraint Conditions

These Constraint Conditions are what will be waived when applying a waiver — See Fine Grained Waivers for more information about this.

There are three options to select for the creation of the waiver:

  1. The first option defines the scope for the waiver. This can be either the current application or all applications for the organization, or even the root organization.
  2. The second option defines the target of the waiver. That is the currently selected component, or all components.
  3. The third option is the Waiver Expiration dropdown. Choosing an option different than "Never" will create an expiring waiver — a waiver that will expire once the selected number of days has passed.

Expiring Waivers Time

Expiring waivers expire at End of Day (11:59:59pm) of the day when the count is completed. All times are calculated using the user's local time.

Removing a Waiver

It is possible to delete a waiver by simply clicking on the trash icon located in the row corresponding to the waiver.
