Release Quarantined Components
Quarantined components are not available for download in your proxy repository. Before you can release a component from quarantine you must resolve any policy violations.
When all policy violations are resolved you can release a component from the repository results view or the Firewall page.
Note
A component released from quarantine cannot be put back into quarantine, even if it has subsequent policy violations. To re-quarantine a component, delete the component from its repository. The component will be quarantined again if it violates a policy that is set to Fail at the Proxy stage during an audit.
Firewall view in IQ Server
This view requires a Next-Gen Firewall License. To release a component in the Firewall Tab:
Navigate to the IQ Server
Log in
Select the Firewall view from the sidebar
Select the component you want to release
Select the Policy tab in the Component Information Panel
Waive all failing policy violations
Note
Only violations of policies that are set to Fail in the Proxy stage need to be waived to release the component. Non-failing violations do not need to be waived.
The component will automatically be released from quarantine when all failing violations are remediated.
From the Repository Results Page
This is available to all versions of the Repository Firewall. To release a component from the Repository Results Report:
Navigate to IQ Server
Click on Orgs and Policies
Select Repositories
Select the repository with the quarantined component
Select the component you want to release from quarantine
Select the Policy tab in the Component Information Panel
Waive all of the failing policy violations
Note
Only the violations of policies that are set to Fail in the Proxy stage need to be waived to release the component. Non-failing violations do not need to be waived.
The component will automatically be released from quarantine when all failing violations are remediated.
